The Milkshake Man - Go-Jo—Australian singer, songwriter, Eurovision 2025

Ever had a song stuck in your head so badly that it becomes the soundtrack of your current reality? I’m currently in the middle of a life challenge, trying to be all introspective—reflecting on what this situation is trying to teach me, figuring out how to navigate it with wisdom, and maybe even attempting to raise my vibration. But instead of profound revelations, all I have in my mind is the endless loop of:

"They drink my milk all across the land, I can tell you want a taste of the Milkshake Man."

Thanks, Go-Jo—Australian singer, songwriter, Eurovision 2025. Your song is so catchy, it’s even following me to the bathroom at 3 AM. This is me right now. Attempting deep introspection while my mind is a 24/7 jukebox of ridiculousness.

But Here’s the Thing—Energy Works the Same Way

Whatever we let in, whatever we tune into, sticks around. And just like the never-ending loop of that one unshakable song, my thoughts and emotions play on repeat if I’m not careful about what frequency I’m vibing with.

Everything Vibrates—Even You (Yes, You!)

Science and spiritual teachings actually agree on something for once—everything is energy. At the smallest level, all things vibrate at a certain frequency, including us. The happier, more grateful, and more aligned we are while living as our authentic selves, the higher our frequency.

Think of it like tuning a radio—you want to be on the station that plays uplifting, empowering music, not static or never-ending sad ballads from the early 2000s.

So, Why Should We Care About Raising Our Vibration?

Because like attracts like—the more we keep our frequency high, the easier it becomes to connect with our higher consciousness, to experience clarity, and to align with opportunities that match who we truly are.

It’s not just about thinking happy thoughts and pretending everything is sunshine and rainbows (because, let’s be real, life can and often does throw us curveballs). It’s about recognising what drags us down and making a conscious effort to shift out of those lower vibrations.

Acting on Your Passion = Living as Your True Self

Your passions? They're not random. They're like energetic highlights leading you to show up as your most authentic self. When you follow what excites you—whether it's painting, writing, teaching, or becoming an expert in the art of swinging a golf club—you’re aligning with your unique, authentic, energetic signature.

And guess what? Passion creates momentum. Your higher mind (that wise, all-knowing part of you that actually has its shit together) keeps nudging you through inspiration. But here’s the thing—you have to act on it. You can’t just sit there, waiting for a cosmic email saying, "Hey, it's time to be your best self, follow this path."

When you act on what lights you up, you send a signal back to the universe that says, "Yes, I’m listening!" That’s when synchronicities show up, doors open, things start flowing, and manifestation begins. But if you ignore it, well… the universe moves on. It’s like being ghosted by your own potential.

The Monkey Mind and the Art of Not Losing It

I’ll be honest—quieting the mental monkeys for me is a never-ending work in progress. They spin. They chatter. They remind me of embarrassing moments from back in the ’80s just as I’m about to fall asleep. And right now, they are way too invested in the lyrics of the Milkshake Man.

But when I actually manage to shut them up (even for just a moment), I hear something different—a sense of calm, a deeper knowing, an internal GPS guiding me to the next right step on my path to clarity. The problem is, we often don’t trust that guidance. We overthink it. We doubt it. We get caught up in why we aren’t having those mystical, earth-shattering experiences like the people on social media who claim they astral travel every Tuesday.

Truth bomb? We are having experiences. But they might not look like what we expect. Sometimes, the guidance is loud and dramatic, but more often, it’s subtle—a shift in perspective, a gut feeling, a whisper from within, an idea that won’t go away. And if we’re too busy overanalysing or getting lost in someone else’s journey, we’ll miss our own energetic nudges.

Other People’s Energy: Is It Yours or Theirs?

Raise your hand if you’ve ever absorbed someone else’s bad mood like a sponge. (Mine is currently up.)

It happens to the best of us. Humans are walking, talking energy transmitters, and if we’re not careful, we start vibing at the frequency of whoever we spend the most time around. This is why it’s crucial to differentiate what’s actually yours versus what you’ve picked up from others.

Example: There’s someone in my life I used to blame for everything that went wrong between us. Their negativity would mess with my energy for days. But after years of evolving (and realising I’m not perfect either), I saw that their behaviour wasn’t about me. They are stuck in a cycle, reliving the same emotional patterns over and over again.

Instead of reacting, I started observing. Instead of getting frustrated, I found compassion (sometimes! Let’s not get carried away here). But most importantly, I stopped letting their energy dictate my own.

Think about someone who really grinds your gears. What if, instead of seeing them as an obstacle, you saw them as a mirror? What are they reflecting back to you? Is it patience? Boundaries? Self-respect? Every encounter is a chance to learn—if we’re willing to go along with it.

The Bigger Picture: Why We’re All Here

I don’t have all the answers, and honestly, I’m not sure I’d want them—where’s the fun in that? But I do know this—every experience, every challenge, and every person I meet is shaping me into a better human.

Some lessons come easily, some don't, but hey - that’s life!. Messy, unpredictable, and full of moments that make you question everything, only to realise later that you were exactly where you needed to be all along.

So, if you’re feeling stuck, lost, or overwhelmed—just relax. You’re not behind. You’re not off track. You’re in the middle of figuring it out, just like the rest of us. The clarity will come. The momentum will build. Just keep tuning into what excites you, what feels right in your gut, what makes you come alive, and what frequency you want to emit.

And for the love of all things good in this world, don’t let the Milkshake Man take up permanent residence in your brain (even my husband is begging me to STOP!)
